Punisher: War Journal

Punisher: War Journal was one of my earliest exposures to a well-designed gun room.    In fact, if you can push the psychotic nature and obvious excesses (this was, after all, the Glorious 80s), the Punisher’s whole warehouse/living space set-up became my Plato’s Perfect Form of weapon storage.

The last page of most every issue of Punisher: War Journal featured a close-up/detail on a specific weapon, weapon’s system, or some aspect of The Punisher’s equipment – including how he stored his gear.

The PunisherI started buying issues just to get the weapon pages, and what a bummer when an issue didn’t have one. . .

The consolidated weapon/equipment overviews eventually ended in The Punisher’s Armory – a series comprised of all of the articles.   It ended up making up ten issues of The Punisher’s Armory series, still available on eBay, and just begging to be cut apart and framed.
